Binaries

(Linux binaries are coming soon)

Source

Build Requirements

  • Qt-Libs V4.5 (prior Versions should work too)
  • Alsa Development Libs (libasound-dev) for Linux

Build for Windows

Under Windows the easiest way is to download the complete Qt4-SDK an compile the source using Qt-Creator (this will work under Linux as well).

Build for Linux

Be sure that the Qt- and Alsa Development files are installed on your system.

  • unpack the source
  • run qmake
  • run make
  • run blop

Build for MacOs

Because the framework components (Qt/Rtmidi) are designed to work under MacOs as well, it should be no problem to complile Blop for MacOs. I dont own a Mac, thats why I can't try it.

If you have built Blop for the Mac, please send me the build instructions.

Documentation

Sound Edit Buffer

Tweak your sounds and download them without storing at the Blofeld.

Upload sounds from the web, your own downloads etc. and test them without overwriting your sounds.

Note: In Multi Mode always Part1 will be affected.

Single Sound

Download the selected sound from the synth or upload it to the selectet location.

The uploaded sound will be stored at the synth and the existing sound will be overwritten.

All Sounds

Download all sounds to a directory.

Tools > split midi to syx

Most of the Blofeld users using the built in dump functions to store their sounds using a midi recorder.

Use this tool to select the midi file and create/specifiy a directory to store the sounds (as seperate syx files) in.

Every syx file gets a own number, in case it's a Blofeld Sound the name will be attached to the filename.

The extracted sounds can be uploaded to the edit buffer using Sound Edit Buffer → Upload. This will avoid overwriting your stored sounds at a “unkown location” in case you get these midi files from the web or something like this.
